  • RSPH announces support for training and qualifications in Mental Health First Aid

    At the first Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) conference being held at London's Queen Elizabeth II conference centre on 10th December, the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) will announce that, together with the National Institute for Mental Health England (NIMHE), it is developing a national qualification in Mental Health First Aid and is also accrediting the national training programme for the MHFA course instructors.

  • APHA Annual Conference in San Diego

    This year's American Public Health Association (APHA) conference was held in San Diego, California, between 25-29th October with the theme 'Public Health without Borders'. In the RSPH session, Dr. Selwyn Hodge, Chair elect of the RSPH, and Dr Mahmood Adil, Director of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), discussed regulation of health and social care in England.
