The NGO Forum
The NGO Forum works to support engagement between government and different non-governmental organisations on health inequalities and wider public health issues. The Forum is sponsored by the Department of Health and is managed by the Royal Society of Health.

The Royal Institute of Public Health
The RIPH is an independent organisation promoting public health and hygiene through education, training, information and quality testing. It plays an active role in developing public health strategy through its work with Government departments and other key public health bodies.

United Kingdom Public Health Association
The UKPHA is an independent UK wide voluntary association, bringing together individuals and organisations from all sectors, who share a commitment to promoting the public's health.

Health and Safety Executive
The Health and Safety Executive ensures that risks to people's health and safety from work activities are properly controlled. It develops new health and safety laws and standards, and play a full part in international developments, especially in the European Union

The Radon Council
The Radon Council is the independent non-profit making regulatory body for the radon industry. The official estimation is that in the UK, some 2500 people die from radon-induced illnesses (lung cancer) each year.

Bog Standard Campaign
Bog Standard is a campaign to promote better toilets for pupils. It aims to increase awareness of the health benefits of better toilets for pupils; to encourage schools to improve the condition of pupils' toilets; to allow pupils to use them when they need to; and to get laws that will make pupils' toilets nicer to use. School toilets affect children's physical and psychological health. Toilets which are unpleasant, or out of bounds, can cause serious, long-term health problems.

The World Federation of Public Health Associations
WFPHA is an international, nongovernmental organization. Its members are multidisciplinary national and regional public health societies. It is the only worldwide professional society representing and serving the broad field of public health. WFPHA enjoys official relations status with the World Health Organization and maintains close ties with UNICEF.

The European Public Health Alliance
EPHA represents over 70 non-governmental and other not-for-profit organisations working in support of health in Europe. EPHA aims to promote and protect the health interests of all people living in Europe and to strengthen the dialogue between the EU institutions, citizens and NGOs in support of healthy public policies.

The American Public Health Association
APHA is the oldest and largest organization of public health professionals in the world, representing more than 50,000 members from over 50 occupations of public health. The Association and its members have been influencing policies and setting priorities in public health since 1872.

The Health Promotion Agency for Northern Ireland
The Health Promotion Agency (HPA) is the regional provider of health promotion information in Northern Ireland. Its mission is 'to make health a top priority for everyone in Northern Ireland'. It is responsible for providing advice on health promotion issues to the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, conducting and commissioning research, producing information campaigns and resources for health professionals and members of the public and running training and professional development events relating to health promotion issues.
