How to Find Us We are always very glad to see Members and other visitors at The Society. However as staff have many commitments on their time we do ask that you make an appointment before coming. If you arrive unannounced you may find that the staff you need to help you are not free to spend time with you. If you would like to visit, please email us to let us know when you will be coming. Note: The Society's offices are a Grade II listed building. They have not been adapted for wheelchair access and the various departments are connected by very steep staircases. People with mobility difficulties should advise us in advance of their visit so that we can try to take appropriate measures to facilitate access. Take the walkway which goes alongside Platform 1, past the Orient Express terminal and you come to a small passage which leads to a side exit to the station, with the Metropolitan Police station on your right halfway down the passage. When you reach the station exit, turn right past the Hesperia Hotel and the Passport Office and you will be at the junction of Bridge Place and Belgrave Road. Turn left along Belgrave Road and the first major junction you come to is with Warwick Way. Turn right down Warwick Way. The first junction on your left from Warwick Way is Clarendon Street. Go down Clarendon Street until you come to the junction with St George's Drive. The Society is the building on the corner on your right-hand side. Walking Directions from Pimlico Underground Station Come out of the station onto Bessborough Street and walk toward St George's Church and Pimlico School. Opposite the school is the junction with St George's Drive. Walk up St George's Drive to the junction with Clarendon Street (7th junction on your right). The Society is the building facing you on the right of the junction with Clarendon Street. Walking Directions from St James' Park Underground Station Take the exit for new Scotland Yard and come out onto Broadway. Turn right down Broadway and you come to the junction with Victoria Street. Turn right onto Victoria Street towards Victoria Station. Ask your driver for the corner of St George's Drive and Clarendon Street in Pimlico. The Society is the building on the northwest corner. The entrance is on the north part of Clarendon Street. Arriving by Train Victoria Railway Station. To see timetables for trains coming into Victoria please click here. Victoria is about 6 minutes walk away from The Society. For walking directions see below Arriving by Underground (Tube) Victoria Underground Station (Victoria, District and Circle Lines). Details of tube trains coming into Victoria can be viewed here. If Victoria is closed Pimlico Station (Victoria Line) is only about 6 minutes walk away and St James Park (District and Circle lines) is about 12 minutes walk away. For walking directions see below Arriving by Bus Dozens of bus routes come into Victoria bus station, which is directly in front of Victoria Railway Station (this is NOT the same as Victoria Coach Station). The bus station is about 6 minutes walk away from The Society. For walking directions see below. Arriving by Car Our offices are OUTSIDE the central London congestion charging zone. The offices of The Society are on the corner of St George's Drive and Clarendon Street. Both of these are two-way roads, as are most of the neighbouring streets. There is metered on-street parking in front of the office (currently £1 for 30 minutes) and at other locations nearby. Finding a parking space near The Society can take some time and you may end up parking several streets away. Westminster traffic wardens are very zealous so read the instructions on the meter very carefully. For longer stays there is Pimlico car park, about four minutes walk away in Cumberland Street. (map). To walk to The Society from Pimlico car park, turn left at the main exit of the car park and go to Warwick Way. Turn right on Warwick Way and St George's Drive is the third junction ahead of you. Turn right onto St George's Drive and Clarendon Street is the first junction on your left. The Society is the building on your left at the corner, and the front door is in Clarendon Street. Victoria Coach Station. Travel information about coaches coming into Victoria is available here. Come out of the Coach Station onto the junction of Buckingham Palace Road and Elizabeth Street. Across Buckingham Palace Road is a shopping mall. Cross Buckingham Palace Road towards the shopping mall and go over Elizabeth Bridge. Once you cross over the railway lines the name of the road changes and becomes St George's Drive. Walk down the road and cross the junction with Warwick Way, where there is a set of traffic lights. After the Warwick Way junction Clarendon Street is the first junction on your left off St George's Drive. The Society is the building on your left at the corner, and the front door is in Clarendon Street. Arriving from an Airport
