Society calls for nominations for 2007 awards The Society is inviting nominations for recipients of two of its annual awards: the RSH Gold Medal and the Queen Elizabeth Gold Medal. The Gold Medial is The Society's highest and most prestigious award and is given for any major innovation or development which has significantly improved or promises to improve the quality and dignity of human life. The Queen Elizabeth Gold Medal is awarded to a citizen
of a Commonwealth country for making an outstanding contribution to
the promotion of health, public health and health-related issues. The
recipient's contribution to health must be clear, measurable and effective.
All levels of contribution, or type of activity, in public health fields
will be considered. The recipient must receive the medal in person. All nominations must be received by 23 April 2007. The RSH Council makes the final decision on Society awards on the recommendation of the Awards Committee, and no correspondence will be entered into. Nominations should give the name and position held by the nominee along with a short biography or links to webpages pertaining to the individual's achievements.
