The Society is taking the secretariat function from the UK Public Health Association. The announcement of the handover was made during the Faculty of Public Health ASM in Glasgow last week.
Chief Executive of The Society, Professor Richard Parish said, "The Society is looking forward to working with our Coalition partners in what will no doubt be another busy year with an array of challenges and opportunities for public health".
The Coalition is also pleased to announce that it will be awarding a student prize for the best work on a public health subject. Further details will be available in the future.
